The
Eyrie is located on the Blackall Range
in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland,
Australia. Positioned with magnificent coastal and mountain
views that stretch from Sandgate near Brisbane to Coolum,
and from Glass House Mountains to Montville, The Eyrie
is only 20 minutes from Caloundra, 15 from Maleny and
20 from Montville. Mooloolah is our nearest town with
a railway station.

From
Fraser Island and Hervey Bay or Inskip Point, drive
through Gympie and down the Bruce Highway towards
Brisbane. Exit on to the Landsborough Rd immediately
under the bridge after the turnoff to Caloundra;
2kms along opposite a BP station on your left, turn
RIGHT to Mooloolah, 6 kms away. Passing over the
railway crossing and over calming bumps bear left
200 yards up the hill where the main road turns right.
That is Brandenburg Rd; we are 3.16 kms up this steep
wining road, so please go carefully. The Eyrie has
signs on the RIGHT, proceed up the concrete drive
keeping LEFT.

Driving
up from the South, take the Glass House Mountains
turnoff off the Bruce Highway from the Airport,
go past Australia Zoo and turn LEFT through
Landsborough and up the escarpment towards
Maleny. 200 meters past the Peachester turnoff
(left) where there are roadworks, there is
an "I" sign take Hovard Road, marked "Local
Traffic Only" RIGHT and first RIGHT again
into Brandenburg Rd. (If you reach the Wine
Barrel on your left on the Maleny road, you
have gone too far, so turn around and take
the next left and second left again into Brandenburg
Road). We are the second LEFT 2 kms down this
steep road. Go up the concrete drive LEFT.

THE
WEST
Driving
to The Eyrie from Toowoomba and the Darling Downs,
go through Esk and Kilcoy, turning LEFT before Woodford
on to the Beerwah road. Near the sign for Peachester
turn LEFT on a corner into Bald Knob Road. Continue
up this windy road to the end. Turn LEFT on to the
Landsborough-Maleny Road, then RIGHT 200 meters on
just past the "I" sign on to Hovard Road
marked "Local Traffic Only", then first RIGHT
again into Brandenburg Rd. The Eyrie is the second
house on the LEFT 1.8kms and is marked with signs.
Go up the concrete road keeping LEFT to the top.
